I directed this short documentary-style branded content to raise awareness for Deaf sports and the Deaflympics while showcasing Japan's inclusive infrastructure and the cultural spirit of omotenashi (hospitality).

The film follows Moemi Yamada from her remote hometown in Shimane to the urban energy of Tokyo and Aichi. By using stylized sound design, the film simulated her unique experience of the world—where the sharp "crack" of a table tennis ball is felt rather than heard.

The film explores empowerment through sports, community support, and the integration of accessible technologies like VUEVO (real-time transparent translation displays) and Miruoto (onomatopoeia-based sound visualization).

Directed by Tom Slemmons for SET K.K., produced by CNBC Catalyst, with technical consulting from UD Japan to ensure accurate representation of the Deaf community.
